Whether it was Marisa enthusiastically thanking her make-up artist, or embracing her bridesmaids out of sheer excitement, she was absolutely bursting with joy! There is a gravity to her joy, however. As she got ready to tap Brooks for their first look, she took a deep breath. She wasn’t giggling or smiling in that moment, but we could see the love and anticipation in her eyes.

From the moment we walked into Marisa’s parents home on the morning of her and Brooks’ wedding, we could feel the emotions of the day!

One thing that shocked us Virginians was how quickly the fog moved over the San Francisco Bay! Before we knew it, we were pulling Marisa and Brooks out of their reception to grab a couple portraits in the mist before all light was gone from the evening! It was truly unique… and surprisingly cold! But whether they were expecting the fog or they were just wholly unphased by anything that day, Marisa and Brooks hardly seemed to notice.
