Graduation Photos with Hunter & Sarah
Thank you for considering us as your UVA graduation photographers! Here are the FAQs regarding our regular grad sessions:
- We are UVA’s Number ONE graduation photographers, and our team has captured over 1,200 fourth-years during their UVA grad sessions!
- Graduation Sessions with Hunter or Sarah start at $650. Graduation Sessions with Hunter and Sarah’s Apprentice, Kelly start at $500.
- All photoshoots are on the Lawn, either just after sunrise or just before sunset.
- Sessions with 1-4 grads are 45 min, sessions with 5-8 grads are 75 minutes, and sessions with 9+ grads are 90 minutes.
- All sessions with 2+ grads will have a mix of individual and group graduation photos.
- You can pay when you book OR on the morning of your session with Venmo.
- The best photos from the shoot will be selected, professionally retouched for light and color by Hunter and Sarah, and delivered via email within ten days of your session!
- We do not “photoshop” images (i.e. remove blemishes/flyaway hairs, remove people from the background, etc).
- You can download full-res photos for free, as well as order professional-quality prints.
- If you’re interested in a group larger than 12 or a session outside the Lawn, please contact us at the bottom of this page!
- In the event of rain, we'll find a time with you to reschedule.
- Pro tip: sessions scheduled in March and early-April will have a more empty Lawn, better light, and a quicker turnaround. Sessions after early-April will be more crowded! More on that here.

We have a limited number of slots over graduation weekend (May 16-18, 2025) for grad + family photos!
- All Grad/Family Sessions will be $500 for a 30-minute session.
- The sessions will include a mix of family photos as well as individual photos of the UVA Grad.
- Family/Grad Sessions can be near the Central Grounds area, although access to the Lawn and Rotunda may be limited, depending on the date and time of your session. North Grounds (law, darden, etc.) is also an option.

- Lifestyle Grad Photoshoots are a fully-customizable experience, that can be scheduled anywhere and anytime.
- Whether your vibe is a Clem 2 hangout, dancing on the tables at Virg, or getting ready to go out with your squad -- let one of us tag along and capture your authentic UVA experience.
- Lifestyle Grad Sessions will focus on candid imagery, with some lightly-guided instruction.
- Starting at $1,000, we'll build you a custom quote based on your desired activity and length of session. Inquire at the bottom of this page to build your own photographic journey with us!

Hello! We’re Hunter & Sarah — high school sweethearts and professional portrait and wedding photographers. We’ve been married since 2017, but have been together for more than a decade. The only thing more important to us than making new friends and our weekly date night is our faith!
Since picking up our first camera more than a decade ago, we’ve had a gift for making our clients feel confident and comfortable in front of our cameras. We deliver incredible images, but more importantly we give our clients an incredible experience every step of the way. Since 2016, we and our team have captured UVA grad photos for more than 1,200 fourth-years as they’ve wrapped up their time at UVA!

Although not a Wahoo herself, Sarah has certainly spent her fair share of time on the Lawn! Since she and Hunter dated all through college, she's no stranger to the 'Tundy. She is very much NOT a morning person, so is the go-to for evening grad sessions of the highest caliber.

Hunter has been photographing UVA grad sessions since he was an undergrad at UVA himself. He's a morning person, and loves that Grad Photoshoot season gives him an excuse to catch a sunrise over the Rotunda a few days each week.

Kelly is a Charlottesville-based, full-time professional photographer who, alongside running her own photography businesses, has been mentored by Hunter and Sarah since 2019.
When it comes to UVA Grad Sessions, she's captured almost 100 sessions as Hunter and Sarah’s Apprentice, after being trained to capture a similar aesthetic that grads have come to expect from Hunter and Sarah Photography for years! She's been guided by Hunter and Sarah — with posing, location selection, directing, and shooting — in all areas of graduation photography. She's also a UVA alumna herself!
Although she hasn’t captured the hundreds of UVA grad sessions that Hunter and Sarah have, her experience makes her a great option for grads who can’t afford the best-of-the-best, but still want a more premium experience with a full-time professional photographer!
