Headshots on the Lawn is BACK!

“Are you guys doing that headshot thing again?”
“Is Headshots on the Lawn happening again, or was that a one-time thing?”
“When are you doing the $10 headshots again??”
Well friends, we’re excited to say that Headshots on the Lawn is back by popular demand!
If you’ve just started following along recently, HotL is an annual event that Sarah and I run for UVA students. For 362 days a year, we charge $150 for a full 45-minute professional headshot session, which is a great solution for local professionals and graduating students whose new job requires them to update their headshot.
But we remember what it’s like to be college students. We remember what it’s like to eat ramen noodles and go to interest meetings just because they had free pizza. We know that for current undergrads who will be attending career fairs and applying for jobs and internships this fall, they can’t make such a large investment, especially since their future employment is still up in the air.
Thus, Headshots on the Lawn! We’ve made the barrier to entry as low as possible so that we can serve as many students as possible. Don’t have a lot of time? It only takes about 3 minutes. Don’t have a lot of money? It only cost $10. Don’t like the standard column-shot? You’ll have 5 photos to chose from!
Although we won’t pretend that this is a charity event (we do need to make a living, after all), we do make it as inexpensive as possible because, frankly, we love UVA students. As an Alumni myself (we like to call Sarah an unofficial Wahoo) and Charlottesville residents, we feel a strong bond to the University community, and still spend a lot of time working with and photographing its students and faculty.
In a way, Headshots on the Lawn is our way each year to say ‘thank you!’ to the students and faculty that help make our job so much fun! So here’s to you all!
HotL 2018 will be September 23, 24 AND 25 from 5:00-7:00 pm on the East side of UVA’s Lawn. All the details can be found on the FB page!
