Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
“He’s not a hugger.” Abi told us after our first meeting, as Sarah and Justin shook hands. Justin just shrugged, but it didn’t surprise us. Justin’s a firefighter – arguably one of the most “manly” jobs in existence. He’s also a landscaper and a hunter on weekends – there’s certainly no shortage of masculinity in this new husband. So as Abi and Justin’s wedding night drew to a close and we briefly pulled them aside to grab a quick photo and thank them again, something unthinkable happened. Justin hugged us. Both of us. And we’re not talking an obligatory side-hug. We’re talking two big, warm, genuine bear hugs. Now, we knew that this was some sort of a big deal, since Abi had warned us from the beginning that this would be a rare sight. But when Abi teared up as we hugged each other goodbye at the end of their night, we knew we had made more than just two new happy clients. We had two new friends.
Throughout their big day, Abi and Justin reminded us why it was so easy for us to quickly become friends with them. They were calm and collected throughout the whole process. Abi was a picture of grace throughout each part of the day, as we sailed through getting ready photos, her first look with her father, and into photos with her bridesmaids. Justin, as always, had an air of cool around him as he and his groomsmen relaxed and chatted as they awaited the festivities to begin. There was never a moment of panic, never a moment of frustration, and Abi affectionately referred to herself as a “Bride-chill-a” – the pointed opposite of a Bridezilla. We’d agree with her assessment, and apply it to their entire wedding day as well.
From our very first meeting, we were excited to be a part of your big day. For beginners, we got married at the same exact venue! That clearly says something about your incredible taste! But really, from your romantic engagement session this summer to your beautiful and easy-going wedding day, we could not be more grateful to serve you two in this stage of your life together. We hope and pray that marriage brings you so much growth and intimacy as a couple, and that each day moving forward is better than the last. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call if you find yourself closer to our side of town 🙂
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
