Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
Jennifer and Michael are pretty hardcore when it comes to photoshoots. Although their photos make them out to be a loving and sweet couple (which trust us, they really and truly are), don’t underestimate them. The day before their session, Jennifer almost sliced half her thumb off! But who needs stiches when a Band-Aid will do, right?? So despite her recent injury, Jennifer and Michael not only made it to their sunset engagement session at James Monroe’s Highland, but Jennifer even took our advice and had professional makeup done with our friends over at First Look Artistry! The cold, the injuries – nothing could stop them.
All jokes aside, we had an incredible time working with Jennifer and Michael just before the Thanksgiving Holiday. They were open and honest with us up front about what they felt less comfortable with, but we still got some stunning images while working around their wants and desires for their session. The beautiful mountain vistas, the 100-year old trees, and the brisk late-fall Golden Hour only complimented the beauty and joy that Jennifer and Michael brought to their session.
We are SO grateful for the opportunity to capture these images of you two at a place that was not only beautiful, but also had meaning and connection to your William & Mary roots. Hunter and I sincerely enjoyed getting to know you two better, and know that when we laugh as much as we give direction, that we’ve made the perfect match with our couple! Even though winter hasn’t officially started, we’re already looking forward to spring so we can be with you two on your wedding day!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
