Sunset Engagement Session at King Family Vineyards

Just as Samantha and Tyler pulled into the parking lot of King Family Vineyards for their engagement session, Sarah and I had been marveling at our good fortune. It was the first day of spring and the sky was overcast, but not the panic-inducing “oh-my-god-where-did-the-sun-go?!” kind of overcast. It was more of the “beautiful-filtered-light-perfect-for-romantic-photoshoots” overcast. It was bathing the fields around the vineyard with soft light and making the Blue Ridge Mountains seem even bluer than normal! Before Sam and Tyler even pulled into the parking lot, our photographer instincts were telling us that this was going to be a good session.
In fact, the only thing that could have made the session more beautiful is if they had worn beautiful outfits perfectly complimenting each other – WHICH THEY DID!! Someone clearly paid attention to their Portrait Session Style Guide 😉 When Sam and Tyler arrived for their session, I couldn’t stop complimenting Sam on her outfit choices! But if you ask us, the most beautiful thing about their session was the way they interacted. It seemed like everything Tyler did made Sam break out into a fit of giggles – which is definitely a good sign for a healthy marriage. But more than that, they danced and swayed and walked hand-in-hand as though they do it every single day (which we have a feeling they do).

It was so great to finally meet you both in person! Our time together earlier this week only made us more excited for your wedding day this summer in Raleigh. We know that there are literally thousands of wedding photographers between Virginia and North Carolina, and we’re beyond honored that you chose us to capture your wedding day! We wish you both the best of luck with the rest of the wedding details, and we’ll see you in August! We can’t wait!!
