Sweet baby Lillian slept through almost her entire newborn session! Whether she was being held by her mom Vivian, laying by herself on one of her many colored backdrops, or in the arms of her dad Frank, Lillian was determined to keep snoozing all morning long. Even when grandma and grandpa stepped in for a few photos, she was completely undisturbed. It was only at the very end of our time with this new family of three that she finally opened up her eyes and said hello to the world! Trust me – we didn’t mind one bit. After all, a sleeping newborn is not a fussy newborn!

It’s been such a joy for Sarah and I to walk alongside Vivian and Frank during the many stages of their journey here in Virginia. I was there to capture their intimate elopement on the Downtown Mall last year, and Sarah and I together had the joy of capturing their windswept maternity session earlier this winter! Last month, two became three as they welcomed baby Lillian into the world!

Thank you (again) for asking Sarah and I to be a part of another milestone in your life together! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet Lillian this weekend, and were shocked at how calm and chilled out she was, even when she did finally awaken!
