About halfway through Lindsey and Adam’s engagement session, deep in Shenandoah National Park, Lindsey just decided to go barefoot. Part of the allure of a session here in Shenandoah is the boulder field and its far-flung panoramic views — but the boulder field also makes walking in wedges pretty difficult ???? So without hesitation she kicked off her wedges and went barefoot, walking and dancing across the rocks like it was nothing. Lindsey’s a behavioral therapist who works with autistic children for a living, so she’s used to rolling with the punches and adapting on the fly!

 

It had been almost exactly a year since this New Jersey couple booked their wedding with us over video chat, so Sarah and I were initially a bit nervous about reconnecting with them after so much time. But despite being with them for the 40-minute car ride and 10-minute hike to AND from the session, the four of us were still excited to sit down for impromptu drinks and dinner together after their session! After almost five hours with Lindsey and Adam this past Saturday evening, we couldn’t be more excited for their wedding day next month!

Thank you so much for making the trip all the way down from central New Jersey so we could capture this beautiful session! We know that out-of-state wedding planning isn’t exactly the easiest task in the world, and when you factor in the month-of stress and Adam’s deployment last fall, and we had all but given up on getting together before your wedding day! We can’t wait to see you again next month, and capture even more beautiful memories for you two and all the adventures that are to come!
