As Sarah and I’s schedule has gotten busier and our time has become slightly more in-demand, we’ve had to prioritize our schedule more and more. One of the results of this has been us having to turn away family sessions in our busy seasons so we can focus more fully on our couples, and their weddings and engagement sessions. However, when Abigail and Rigo reached out to us about a family session with their new baby boy Valor, it was a no-brainer for us. Abigail and Rigo first hired me to take a their Christmas card photos almost four years ago, and have been some of our longest-standing repeat clients (and also good friends) as we get together with them year after year!

 

Unfortunately though, it seemed that the weather was not in our favor this year. Rain pushed a mid-October family photoshoot into an early-November photoshoot, which was then pushed (again by poor weather) into a mid-November session. While Abigial and Rigo have no trouble in the cold, it’s a little harder to ask a 6-month old to grin-and-bear through a cold session! That’s why Sarah and I were so surprised when Valor went through the entire session without shedding a single tear or letting out so much as one tiny cry. He was such a fun little dude to hang with, and we can tell already that he’s loved so deeply by his sweet parents.

 

Abigail + Rigo,

Thank you for yet again allowing us to be a part of your Christmas season! It’s been fun to see your family grow from the two of you to include Atlas the fluffy golden puppy (who unfortunately couldn’t make it to this year’s session), and now baby Valor. We know that if Sarah and I ever need parenting advice, you’ll be high on our list of calls because he was so incredibly chill throughout the entire experience! We’re also so glad we could grab just a few photos of the two of you, and maybe next year we’ll get together when things are a bit warmer 🙂
