Breathtaking Spring Wedding at the Market at Grelen

For almost a year now, we’ve been on an incredible journey with Kalene and Reid. We first heard from Reid last summer as he prepared to surprise his then-girlfriend Kalene by popping the question on UVA’s Lawn. When he booked us to capture their surprise proposal, we had no idea that he would propose on the hottest day of the year — 103 degrees! But we also had no idea that we’d get to walk alongside the two of them, not just during the proposal, but also during their mountainous engagement session, and during their breathtaking spring wedding at the Market at Grelen!
Their wedding day was nothing short of what we’d expect from the two of them. It was elegant and classy, full of beautiful details, and featured more than a dash of luck. Although blooming trees are almost impossible to predict months in advance, Kalene and Reid really got to make the most out of the Market at Grelen’s many flowering trees on their Spring wedding day! Just look at those blooms! AHHH! 😍 And of course, their day was just as full of wonderful times with friends and family, and a dance floor that went for three hours straight without stopping!

Your wedding day only confirmed to Sarah and I what we already knew: you two aren’t just the life of the party, but your joyful disposition can literally light up a room. Each person who gave a speech — or even mentioned your names — this past Saturday couldn’t help but talk about the smiles that are always on your faces, and how you two are so perfectly fit for each other. We couldn’t agree more! It’s been an immense joy getting to know you two this past year, and we know (especially since we’re practically neighbors now) that this isn’t the last that we’ve seen of each other. We hope that whether it’s for future anniversaries or (one day) new additions to the family, that we get to be your photographers (and friends) for life 😊
