When we captured Susannah and David’s floral Engagement Session in early March, none of us could have imagined how different things would be just a few short weeks later. At the time of their engagement session, their 150+ person wedding at Chisholm Vineyards was just 7 weeks away. However, now we know that that day won’t come for another year.

 

But that didn’t stop Susannah and David! With a smile on their faces, happy tears in their eyes, and SO MUCH joy in their hearts, they still tied the knot on their wedding day! Although there were only a handful of guests to watch Susannah and David walk down the aisle, and each of them stuck close with their immediate family on their own blankets, the day was still magical. Even watching Susannah air-hug her dad from 10 feet away brought a smile – rather than sorrow – to everyone’s faces that day. Nothing was going to bring them down!

I’m not sure that Hunter and I have ever photographed a couple so genuinely happy to just be married. You two both cried tears of joy through the entire ceremony, and have exuded an unbridled, uncontainable JOY since the moment we met you over video chat last August. Although we wish you two didn’t have to go through the stress of postponing your wedding and planning a whole other ceremony, we’re comforted by one thing: this means we get to do this all again in a year! We already can’t wait to see you two again (once things are safe), and capture your love next May, which will have grown even more with time!
