Emily and Jesse are not exactly huge fans of taking photos. Like many of our couples, they love each other, their dog (Frank), and spending time with their friends and family. Of course, seeing friends has been difficult up until very recently, although that didn’t stop them from celebrating Jesse’s birthday with a Tiger King-themed birthday party! 😂 But just like so many couples before them, they showed up to their engagement session a bit nervous, and maybe even a little afraid that their time with us would be stiff and awkward and uncomfortable!

But as Hunter and I chatted with them and walked around the property at Boar’s Head Resort, we could watch their unease melting away. Despite the warm temperatures, they really kept their cool 😎 And as we walked them through each step of the engagement session experience, we literally watched them become more confident and comfortable in front of our eyes! Of course, that doesn’t mean they loved taking photos. In fact, Jesse shared that one of the few silver linings of postponing their July wedding to next Spring meant they got a few extra months without taking any more photos 😂 It’s okay, we don’t take that personally at all haha!

We’re so glad that we finally got to meet you two in person, despite the crazy circumstances of recent months. And we’re also glad that we got to meet Frank in person too! We’re sure he’s going to be a very energetic addition to your wedding party next Spring. And speaking of wedding day, even though it will be a bit later than originally planned, we know that it’ll still be an incredibly wonderful and special day – unlike any day of your lives yet! And who knows — maybe the next Emily and Jesse will meet at your wedding, just like you two met at a wedding so many years ago!
