Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
Katie and Trent were seriously up for an adventure! That’s why they had no problem scheduling their engagement session at Blackrock Summit, even though it required a journey deep into Shenandoah National Park, followed by a hike from the parking lot to the summit. Although we had to move dates around because of rain, they were lucky in their timing. They were our first session back in SNP since they’ve reopened! For months, the entire park (and all of Skyline Drive) was closed to the public due to COVID. It was SO good to be back!
Not only was it great to be back in the park, but it was a blast getting to know two new friends. While Hunter and Trent bonded over their love of all things UVA (Trent’s on his way to becoming a double-Hoo), Katie and I chatted about her hometown of Charleston, SC. Although I’ve visited once, she’s a Charleston native and basically an expert. We couldn’t help but ask question after question about their Charleston wedding that they’re planning for next fall! Of course, we also had lots to ask about their recent trips to Hawaii 🏖
We’re so glad that you discovered Hunter and I this Spring, and that we were able to find a date to get together last week. It was great getting to know you and Trent, and hear more of your story! We know that you two felt a bit nervous as we were getting started, so we’re beyond glad that you felt so comfortable around us by the end of the session! With your gorgeous Charleston wedding day still almost 15 months away, we hope that these images serve to get you two even more excited for the big day to come! We’ll see you two around soon, I’m sure!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
