Midday Surprise Proposal at Veritas Vineyard & Winery

Last Saturday morning, Hunter and I put our usual disguise into action. It was almost 11:30 am, and we were sitting on a blanket beneath the shade of a solitary tree on the lawn at Veritas Vineyard and Winery. Although any passing winey-goers would have mistaken us as a couple out for a romantic Saturday morning picnic, we were there on business. Stashed inside our wicker picnic basket wasn’t a cheese board or a choice bottle of rosé, but two camera bodies and our longest telephoto lenses. We were here to capture Meg’s reaction when Thomas surprised her by getting down on one knee and proposing!
After Thomas proposed, and Meg had jubilantly accepted, we spent a little time taking photos with them. Thomas had a friend on the Veritas team, which ensured the prompt delivery of a couple glasses of sparkling wine to help them celebrate their engagement! After a brief portrait session, we said goodbye to Meg and Thomas, but Thomas and Hunter shared a wink. The three of us knew that Meg was in for another surprise! So we rushed over to King Family Vineyards where Meg and Thomas’ families and friends were waiting! Under the guise of checking out another vineyard, Meg and Thomas weren’t far behind us. When they arrived, Meg got surprise number two as everyone cheered at their arrival!

It was so wonderful being a part of your special day last weekend! Thomas, you did such a fantastic job pulling off not one but TWO surprises for Meg that day! How much thought and energy you put into making the day special for her really showed us how much you love and care for your new fiancée. We know that the time (and photos) with family will mean so much to you both as you look back on this day. We’re so excited for you two and the journey of engagement that’s ahead of you!
