Double-Reception September Wedding at Sylvanside Farm

After a cloudy afternoon, the sun had finally poked its head out for Joanna and Brady’s first reception. You read that right – their first reception. There was so much about Joanna and Brady’s wedding day that made it unique, but these two did something totally different than any other wedding we had ever photographed: they decided that rather than paring down their guest list, they would split it into two and have an earlier, outdoor reception for family (especially the older generation) and their wedding parties. Then, just one cocktail hour later, they held a second reception for the younger, dancing crowd!
Another thing that kept popping up that really stood out to us was what Brady did during the pandemic. When everything closed down and people began working from home, Brady actually moved in with Joanna and her family! They spent the last few months living together, cooking together, and growing closer. This precious time is something that (as we could certainly tell from their speeches) Joanna’s parents were so grateful for and will always cherish.

We know that you two have a long and beautiful marriage ahead of you. Judging by the way you both looked at each other, held each other, and cried together during your wedding ceremony, we can tell that the love you two have is deeply rooted – both in your families as well as in Christ! You have so much support going into your marriage and we so look forward to all that you guys will build together.
