As we walked through the gate into the backyard, we were absolutely floored. Lyndsey and Mike (and Lyndsey’s dad!) had transformed the backyard into a gorgeous, twinkling wedding venue! Having moved their nuptials up from December so they could hold the gathering outside, this wedding was truly a labor of love by family and friends. Lyndsey’s dad hand-made the arbor, a family friend had arranged their florals, Lyndsey’s sister brought her planning experience to life with the reception details, and Lyndsey’s grandmother made their wedding cake! You could feel the culmination of love in every piece of Lyndsey and Mike’s wedding.

One of the funny thing that we will never forget is how Lyndsey and Mike is how they would jokingly ask each other every day if they still wanted to be dating the other. It is such a sweet and intentional question, one that didn’t slip our notice when Lyndsey asked, “Do you want to be married to me?” during their first look! It was such a joy to be present for that switch from dating to married for Lyndsey and Mike and one that will stick with us forever!

It was such an honor to be your photographers. Your wedding was so personal and true to you both, and watching you interact with your family and guests was truly our pleasure. It took a lot for us to pull you away from that for photos, but we know that it was well worth it! Seeing the community that you two have built from your family and friends is something that we hope you two will treasure throughout your lives and marriage!
