We see a lot as wedding photographers. But the outfits that Yash and Alec brought to their sunrise cherry blossom engagement session on the tidal basin in Washington DC was definitely a first for us! For their second outfit, Yash and Alec brought something that was totally unique to them. They brought their “How To Train Your Dragon” cosplay! It was by far the easiest outfit change we’ve ever seen! No changing room required – just throw the onesie over the nice outfits and call it a day!

After initially fighting some crowds right along the waterfront, we were able to move our way into a more private spot, just off the Tidal Basin for Yash and Alec. As we started the search for our second, less crowded location, they walked into the most perfect light! “Wait! Stop right there!” And that is EXACTLY where we captured the rest of their engagement session. The light glittered and danced around them as we walked them through the rest of the session. However, their onesies were BY FAR the most popular outfit on the Tidal Basin that morning!

We loved getting to spend some time with you two last weekend! We know that the crowds can be tough, but you guys were pros! And all of those photos were the perfect prep for your wedding day later this year. And you two seemed to even have fun with it! After driving away from your session, we honestly couldn’t think of another couple that laughed so much during their session 😂 We cannot wait to see you guys again in November!
