YJ warned us ahead of time that Jung was shy. That’s not abnormal – most of the guys we photograph aren’t usually very excited about taking photos. What WAS surprising was just how wrong Jung proved YJ during their Washington, D.C. sunrise engagement session! It took YJ and Jung zero time to light up in front of our cameras! Literally the second or third photo we took had bright, beautiful smiles from YJ and Jung! You would have had no idea looking at the photo that it was 7:00 AM and we were all half-asleep. As much as we would love to take credit for Jung’s smile, we know that it was his love for YJ that produced such genuine emotion.

Another pleasant surprise when it came to this National Mall engagement session was just how efficient these two were! Whether it was how quickly they picked up posing, or –my personal favorite — the rolling suitcase they used to carry their second outfit in. Long-gone are the days of lugging around a backpack or an oversized purse while constantly hanging (and rehanging) outfits from tree branches between photos. Outfit #2 rolled around in style ???? It was an absolute joy to finally meet you in person! For all your warnings about shyness, you two had no reservations when it came to expressing your love for each other, or your joy for the upcoming nuptials. That, and Jung finally finishing school! We are so honored that you hired us to capture this special time in your lives, and we cannot wait to see you both again next Spring!
