Sultry, Stylish Wedding at The Virginian Hotel in Lynchburg, VA

As I walked Roxanna to her first look, I stepped outside and was immediately nervous. I told Hunter that — with Roxanna rocking her favorite Louboutin stilettos — they better not stray too far from the hotel! I was relieved to hear that her soon-to-be-husband Arek was waiting just around the corner with Hunter… then nervous again when I saw they were down a steep, brick-lined hill. Luckily, Roxanna not only loves shoes, but she is an absolute pro in them! She strolled down the hill and right into her First Look just like she effortlessly navigated Shenandoah National Park in her Jimmy Choo stilettos earlier this year!

Roxanna and Arek’s wedding at The Virginian Hotel in Lynchburg was truly a treat! With only around 50 guests, Roxanna and Arek had time to not just say hello, but really spend time with every single one of their dear friends and family! Roxanna had a bouquet of pins to personally pin on each guest as they spoke, which she kindly informed us was a Puerto Rican tradition to ensure that they got to see everyone present! And Arek’s family also got some of their own cultural traditions in as well. The Polish Bread and Salt toast (followed by a mysterious vodka shot — ask us about that one later) was another new experience for us to photograph!

It was such an honor to capture your wedding day! Watching you two mix Puerto Rican and Polish traditions during your reception was a joy, and something we’ll never forget. Not only did you two creating a new family earlier this month, but also blended new and old traditions, as you began your life together as a new family. And it was so special for us to be a part of that! We hope these images bring you nothing but joy ♥
