One word we keep coming back to when we think about Ashlee and Mike is “fun.” Everything they did throughout their wedding at the Clifton last month was infused with the joyful energy and intentionality we have come to know them for. With a tropical storm’s torrential downpour keeping everyone inside, it just made the colorful chaos of the wedding day even more exciting! With a BIG wedding party, people were everywhere. And the bustling motion just meant that everywhere you turned there was a moment worth capturing!

 

Something that stood out to us was Ashlee and Mike’s cake cutting. After quickly stealing away to change into outfit #2, we stayed outside the tent during the night’s first break in the rain to capture some portraits. And these two could not stop dancing! Dancing in the goofiest and somehow most stylish way we’ve ever seen! They grooved back into the tent and shimmied their way right into their cake cutting. Which, when they were done cutting and snacking on some cake, was followed immediately by more dancing!

We have had such a wonderful time getting to know you two so well over the last year! When we flew down to Florida to capture your Jax Beach Engagement Session, you two didn’t just treat us like vendors doing you two a service. You took us out to dinner and showed us your town like friends! And it allowed us to capture some incredibly unique portraits at Pete’s Bar! 😂 We hope you guys love these images — from the engagement session, from the rehearsal dinner, and from your wedding at the Clifton — as much as we do. And we hope that we will see you both again soon!
