One thing we love hearing about from our wedding couples is their proposal. A proposal takes a lot of thought, and is usually extremely personal to our couple. So when Kunal proposed to Laura, he chose a hike as the perfect moment! For two people who enjoy hiking together, this was so true to them and their relationship. And after talking with Laura and Kunal about their vision, we knew right away that they’d want a Blue Ridge engagement session!

The only challenge was finding a “hike” that wouldn’t be too challenging. After all, Laura was still recovering from a twisted ankle! Luckily, we had the perfect spot in mind. 😎 There’s a small overlook that we absolutely love for many reasons. One of them is that we can capture a classic Blue Ridge engagement session, but with zero hiking required! As we walked around our so-called “secret spot”, we learned all about these two and how they interact. Despite it still being quite cold in the mountains, Laura and Kunal were troopers! They cuddled for warmth on the exposed overlook, and gave us a preview of what to expect in just one month!

We knew that once we passed the potential road barrier, we were in for a great night!
