Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

Ananya and Alberto’s Catholic-Hindu fusion wedding was a beautiful two-day celebration of their families, cultures, and faiths. They met at VCU during medical school, sharing six months together before spending 2+ years in a long-distance relationship. Their wedding weekend brought those different backgrounds together in Richmond. Friday honored Alberto’s Filipino heritage with a Catholic Wedding Mass at St Bridget Catholic Church. Alberto’s family is deeply Catholic, making the celebration especially meaningful for them. They both wore traditional Filipino attire, and we captured portraits together around the church grounds before the Mass. Saturday shifted toward Ananya’s Indian heritage and Hindu traditions. She and her parents had personally chosen the entire wedding party’s attire during a recent trip to India. She began the day in a traditional sari before changing into a stunning lehenga for the reception. Every detail felt intentional, personal, and deeply connected to their families and faiths.
The weather added another unexpected element to the weekend. Rain had been in the forecast all day, but we arrived to beautiful overcast skies. We took advantage of it, capturing all of their portraits for the day. However, the skies did eventually open, forcing the Hindu wedding ceremony indoors. But Ananya and Alberto never let it dampen their spirits! Instead, they simply embraced the extra time together. That same warmth extended to everyone around them. Throughout the weekend, they treated their family, friends, and vendors with genuine care and compassion. By the end of the evening, Sarah and I felt more like friends than hired photographers. Their guests echoed that sentiment during the toasts, describing them as intelligent, caring, and deeply empathetic people. Before the dance floor opened, family and friends celebrated with a traditional Sangeet featuring choreographed dances. Then the party erupted into an incredible mix of Indian hits and Western favorites.
Your Catholic-Hindu fusion wedding was such a meaningful celebration to document. We loved seeing your Filipino and Indian families’ traditions woven together throughout the weekend. Even more, we loved seeing the way you cared for everyone around you. Your joy for each other was impossible to miss, whether you were surrounded by family or simply stealing a quiet moment together. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly and trusting us to document such an important chapter in your lives. We hope your marriage carries the same joy, compassion, and love that filled your wedding weekend!
With love,
Sarah and Hunter
