Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

Kerry and Mike’s blended family wedding was a beautiful reminder that every love story unfolds in its own timing. Having booked us just five months before the celebration and skippping an engagement session, they still trusted us completely to document one of the biggest days of their lives. That trust became evident from the very beginning. Their first look was quiet, emotional, and wonderfully intimate. They took their time, soaking in the moment before embracing, and the rest of the day followed that same unhurried rhythm. Every part of the celebration felt intentional. Black tie attire, abundant florals, delicious food, and the stunning Charlottesville mountain views created an atmosphere that was sophisticated yet wonderfully relaxed.
But what made this a blended family wedding wasn’t the beautiful setting. It was the people. Mike’s son Chet stood beside him as his best man. Kerry’s son Henry sat proudly in the front row. During the ceremony, one moment perfectly captured the heart of the day as Chet and Henry embraced, symbolizing two families becoming one. Later that evening, as Chet delivered his Best Man speech, he reflected on how happy his dad had been since meeting Kerry. At one point, referencing his late mother, he turned to Kerry and simply said, “My mom would’ve loved you, Kerry.” There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Throughout the day, Mike greeted everyone with warmth that made each person feel like they were the guest of honor. The only person smiling more than Kerry as she laughed with her siblings and friends was Mike whenever he looked at his bride!
Thank you for trusting us with your blended family wedding. It was such a privilege to witness not only the beginning of your marriage but also the joining of your families. From your emotional first look to those unforgettable mountain portraits and heartfelt hugs during the ceremony, your day reflected exactly who you are: kind, gracious, and deeply devoted to the people you love. We hope these photographs always remind you that the very best weddings aren’t defined by timelines or traditions. They’re defined by the people who gather together to celebrate a new beginning.
With love,
Hunter (and Sarah)
