Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
The getting ready suite was packed when Hunter and I arrived at Kaitlin’s hotel on the morning of her and Jack’s wedding. There were eight bridesmaids, hair and makeup professionals, several family members, as well as Hunter and I and the videographer. Despite how many people were in the room, the thing that stood out to us the most was the excitement. Every single person who came into the room was beyond thrilled when they saw Kaitlin, and their joy was absolutely contagious. Every single moment was packed with significant details – from Kaitlin’s dear childhood friend Ashley doing her hair to her mom lovingly buttoning her into her dress. Two of our favorite moments from the entire day were Kaitlin’s first looks – first with her bridesmaids, then with her dad. Their reactions still make us smile!
Throughout the day, two things were evident to us. The first was the steadfast faith in Jesus that Kaitlin and Jack wanted to be the center of their day. From their ceremony at St. John the Evangelist to the opening prayer before dinner, there was no doubt to us or their guests that their faith was so important to them. The second was how Kaitlin and Jack felt about each other. From the way Jack smiled at Kaitlin when she wasn’t looking, to how she lit up every time their eyes met – we have a pretty strong feeling that these two have a long and prosperous marriage ahead of them 🙂
Our absolute favorite part about being wedding photographers is the relationships we form with our couples, and it’s weddings days like yours that remind us how much we love our jobs. Despite a 13-hour day, Hunter and I joked on our drive back to Charlottesville that we could’ve stayed until midnight. The energy of your guests, the joy you two displayed throughout the day, and the love shared between friends and family kept smiles on our faces from the moment we walked into your getting ready suite until long after the sparklers had gone out. We are overjoyed with how these photos have turned out, and hope you cherish them for decades to come!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
