Katherine and Michael have a fantastic sense of humor. When we met them at James Monroe’s Highland for their engagement session last week, they were making us laugh from the very start. In fact, we have a pretty good feeling that their relationship is built partly on Michael saying ridiculous and goofy things that make Katherine crack up. Last Monday evening, Sarah and I were just two additional members of his audience!

 

But aside from all the laughing and joking, we also witnessed some really gentle and intimate moments between Katherine and Michael during our time together. The way Michael carried Katherine’s bag around from location to location, or how they looked at each other during our “okay now look at each other and smile” poses told us a lot about their relationship. We know that when their wedding day arrives next Spring, they’ll be beyond excited to take each other’s hands in marriage in front of all their friends and family!

First off, I’d like to personally thank you, Michael, for teaching Sarah your hilariously awkward stick-one-finger-in-the-air-and-move-your-head-around dance move. She’s done it on several occasions since our time together, and I’m certain she’ll be breaking it out at our next wedding just to mess with me! But in all seriousness, you two were so sweet and such a fun couple to be around, and we’re grateful for the time we spent together last week. You two rocked your session despite the heat and maybe a few small nerves, and we already can’t wait to see you again next May!
