To be honest, it took everything in me to not name this blog “ADORABLE LITTLE NUGGET IS ADORABLE ALL OVER CARTER MOUNTAIN” ???? But it really would have fit the images from Karen and Ian’s family session as well as any other title could! Our afternoon with the two of them and their 11-month old son Milo was such a sweet time. Besides an outfit change after a spit-up and a few minor crying spells, Milo was basically having the time of his life. He got to play with pumpkins, go for walks with mommy and daddy, get thrown in the air, and generally be the center of attention for a couple of hours (which, if we understand anything about having a baby, probably wasn’t too new for him).

 

But we also got to know Karen and Ian during this rare family sessions of ours. As Texas transplants who were married in Florida and brought to Charlottesville for Ian’s medical residency at UVA, they’re no strangers to moving, but may have found a future in Virginia. Either way, they were so fun to be around, and clearly love their little guy a ton. Their outfits were casual and gave them plenty of flexibility to run after their (almost) one year old in the moments when he decided to choose his own adventure and wander.

We’re so glad we were able to get together before Ian’s residency picks up again next month, and it really was great to get to know you three during our time at Carter Mountain last week! We know that you’ll cherish these photos, especially as Milo grows up into the little boy and eventually little man that he’s going to be. We’re also so glad that we were able to capture a few photos of just the two of you as well! We think it was absolute worth it, even if Milo did cry the whole time ????
