When Hunter and I met Shertal at Carter Mountain Apple Orchard for her Senior Session, we immediately knew that she had spent some time in our Style Guide. From her beautiful braids to her immaculate nails and the two outfits she picked out, we knew she had prepared well! When we I started to explain a pose and she said, “Oh, like the one on the back cover of the Style Guide!” our suspicions were confirmed.

 

However, something that was unique about this session was that we also had the opportunity to capture a few photos of Shertal’s older sister Janille. Their mother tragically passed away right before Janille’s senior year, and this was the first time either of these two sisters had been in front of a professional camera since then. This also meant we got to snap a few shots of sisters being sisters – laughing together (as well as being hopelessly annoyed by each other).

Hunter and I had so much fun getting to know you two during our time together last month! After barely more than an hour with you two, we know that wherever the future leads you – college or nursing school or service in our nation’s military – that you two are going to thrive. The humble confidence that you two showed makes us know that not only will you go far, but you’ll do it as strong, independent women all the way!
