We had originally planned for Jacob to propose on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The time, location, directions — everything — was all planned out. What we hadn’t planned for… was snow. After it became clear that snow and ice leftover from a prior storm was still affecting travel on the parkway, the whole plan changed. The parkway was closed and we had to completely re-plan Jacob’s proposal… the morning of! ????

Jacob seemed completely un-phased, though. He coolly picked a new location and changed their plans to propose on UVA’s Lawn instead! Not only did he change plans quickly, he also executed them perfectly! We always have plenty of instructions for our proposer knowing that only some of them will probably happen. Not for Jacob. Jacob followed every single piece of advice we had, from lighting considerations to staying on his knee! The man is a pro!
