Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
Just a few minutes after Sarah had stepped into her wedding dress with the help of her mom, she took a seat in an overstuffed arm chair in the bridal suite of Rose Hill Manor. At that exact moment, just a few feet away in the groom’s suite, she knew that her soon-to-be husband Tim was also sitting down. In just a few seconds, they would open the envelopes in their laps and read the letter that the other had written to them for just this occasion: the day of their wedding. As a fairly reserved couple, it didn’t surprise me that Sarah held her composure, smiled a few times, and laughed once or twice. It did surprise me to hear later from Hunter that as Tim read his letter from Sarah, tears began to roll down his cheeks and onto the lapel of his jacket.
Just a few moments later, Sarah and Tim were embracing on the front porch of the Manor during their First Look. As you’ll probably notice in the photos of their day, they began smiling those wide and joyful grins during those first moments together, and didn’t stop until long after their sparkler exit. We knew from our time together in San Diego with them and especially on the wedding day that months and years of joyful anticipation had led to this day — to these moments. They were married!!
It has been such a joy getting to know you two over the last year! Your love story that began in DC, continued to Texas and settled in California sounds like something from a Lifetime movie because it’s so stinking cute. And the fact that Tim moved literally across the country to be nearer to you, Sarah, makes me swoon a little every time I think about it. We had such a blast exploring San Diego with you two after your engagement session, and honestly felt privileged to capture such a beautiful, Christ-centered wedding day. We wish you the absolute best in marriage, and hope you’re having an absolute blast in Hawaii! Eat some pineapple for Hunter!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
