Lili and I (Sarah) have known each other for a dozen years. So it didn’t surprise us at all when her and Matt decided to forgo a more traditional engagement session. Instead, they wanted to sip cocktails, and go for a bookstore lifestyle-engagement session vibe! This New York City couple made their way down to Charlottesville so we could commemorate this season of their love story. So we adventured around Charlottesville’s Downtown Pedestrian Mall, starting with the Conservatory at the Omni Hotel! The wide open atrium was the perfect mix of natural light and cocktail bar vibes. Plus, plenty of greenery to bring a freshness to the images!

Afterwards, the adventuring continued with Blue Whale Books, and even a stop at the top of a nearby parking garage to really incorporate Charlottesville’s mountain views. Lili and Matt’s wedding in New York this fall is going to be a totally different vibe. So we loved that their wanted their engagement session to be so unique! The imagery will be a perfect compliment to their wedding gallery in October!
