Jenna and Blaine had just cut the cake inside Crooked River Farm’s reception barn. With hundreds of family and friends watching, they each gently, gingerly lifted the cake towards their new spouse’s mouth… then smashed cake ALL OVER the other’s face! That sudden turn from sweet and gentle to raucous and life-of-the-party likely wasn’t a surprise to anyone who knows Jenna and Blaine – and the smiles they had on their faces the entire time weren’t either.

 

In fact, can we stop and just take a moment to talk about Jenna’s smile?! First, two words: freaking gorgeous. Second, it could be found on her face almost every minute of the day. From the moment Hunter and our apprentice and I arrived in the extravagant getting ready suite with her ladies, to her and Blaine’s grand exit — and every moment in between — joy literally radiated from Jenna’s face. And of course, Blaine wasn’t much different. Those smiles, coupled with their attitudes that make anyone feel comfortable in their presence in an instant are what won us over during their misty mountain engagement session last fall, and what had us loving every single moment of their wedding day this past Saturday outside Bristol.

When the four of us met at King Family Vineyards last October for your engagement session, we have to admit: you found us at a bit of a rough time. We had had some difficult sessions earlier that week, and were leaving less than 12 hours later for a memorial service for Hunter’s beloved grandfather who had passed away suddenly. But when we met and connected so well during your engagement session (so much so that you booked us for your wedding about 35 minutes into the session ????) and even enjoyed dinner together after, we knew that we had not only connected with a great couple, but had made two new friends. We know you’re probably busy snorkeling the crystal clear waters of Belize right now (we’re only like 99% jealous), but we hope this sneak-peek makes the honeymoon just a little bit sweeter!
