Right now, everyone is required to wear masks at all times while on the Grounds at UVa. As Charlottesville townies, we’re strongly in favor of this, as it’s been one of many measures that the University has done to prevent Charlottesville from becoming the next COVID-19 hotspot. However, this also means there’s been a new dynamic when it comes to photoshoots on Grounds: having our clients wear their masks for as long as possible, while taking them off just long enough to capture their photos! I sometimes worry that the personal connection will get lost between the masks, but we connected with Ivie and Peter immediately! These two were instantly in rhythm with each other and the poses we walked them through!

I am always instantly jealous of people who have rhythm, and I was doubly envious of Ivie and Peter because they are both musically talented! Having met while on the drum line together at UVa, they’ve been together ever since! It was so much fun watching them pose and move together – they seemed to be perfectly in step with one another. Whether that’s from training on the drum line or from their natural chemistry, only they know 😉

We are so glad we could meet you guys and capture your engagement session earlier this month! It was such a joy getting to know you both and to witness the natural ease that you two have with each other. And dang — we could NOT have gotten better foliage for your session! We hope you guys stay fun and goofy, and that these photos serve as a great reminder of all the fun you have together!
