There are so many great places between Charlottesville and Arlington! So when they asked about doing a multi-location engagement session, we were ready! Starting first in the more urban setting of the Downtown Mall, we worked in the architecture and brickwork to pay homage to their hometown of Arlington. Of course, with a quick stop into Chaps, the ice cream parlor! These two were absolute naturals in the neon lights and vintage vibes of Chaps — it felt like we were on a movie set with them! And once we were done with our “props”, the cones didn’t last very long 🍦
When Claire and Jake started to talk about where they wanted to have their session, we could tell it was a tough decision.
For the next spot in their multi-location engagement session, these two chose a classic Charlottesville spot: the Boar’s Head Resort. Working in some more of the natural green beauty of Charlottesville is a perfect complement to the more urban portraits from the Downtown Mall! What we learned very quickly is that Jake is a fly fisher. Pointing out the fish and turtles he spotted in the two giant ponds, Jake reminded Hunter and I that there is so much more beauty to this location than the green grass and rolling hills! We are still disappointed that the fisherman we saw when we arrived left before Jake could borrow his pole. We would’ve loved to see him in action!
Claire and Jake,
We are so excited to celebrate with you two on your wedding day in just six months! The time is absolutely flying by, and we can’t wait! We hope we’ll have a day as beautiful as our session last month when November rolls around 🤞
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
