Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
When Jessie got out of her and Matt’s car in the parking lot of Blackrock Summit in Shenandoah National Park, her first words to us were, “We promise this isn’t what we are going to be wearing!” 😂 But Hunter and I weren’t worried about her nike shorts or old t-shirt. We knew that the reason we had pulled a last-minute reschedule to avoid summer storms was because Jessie had rented two dresses and scheduled with a hair and makeup artist. Because of that, we had a pretty limited window to get together!
Luckily, everyone’s schedule was flexible and we made the snap decision to move their engagement session one night earlier to a night “without rain”. Although there were storms on the radar, during the session the weather could not have been more perfect! There were definitely some heavy clouds overhead, but none of us noticed since the light was so perfect 😁 As we learned more about Jessie and Matt throughout the sesion, the evening flew right by. When we finally heard thunder rolling in across the valley, Hunter checked his watch and the 100-minute session had already flown by!
It was such a joy getting to know you two, and hearing all about how a “city girl” (from Waynesboro 🤣) and a West Virginia “country boy” came to be together! We were also inspired to hit up a Legwarmers concert when the world re-opens after the **glowing** review you guys gave them! We hope these photos serve as a hold-over until your dream wedding day next fall!
