Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

It’s funny the things that you can forget when you travel back to somewhere familiar. As we were getting ready to being Julia and John’s engagement session at King Family Vineyards, Julia and I were talking about storing some of their clothes in their car. Having flown back to Charlottesville from Chicago for the Luke Combs concert, we both forgot that they didn’t have a car! Once we put their stuff into my car, we jumped right in with a bottle of wine in the King Family tasting room.
After their bottle of wine and a few photos in the tasting room, we headed out to King’s iconic barn and Polo Field. The slight overcast weather provided the perfect light for their engagement session at King Family Vineyards! And as we walked around the field, it was so wonderful to hear more about the details of their wedding! And to watch them get even more excited for 2027 when they would return to King Family Vineyards and officially tie the knot. The best thing about overcast weather is that it allowed us to use every inch of the incredible grounds at King Family Vineyards. That included a blooming cherry blossom tree that was beautifully backlit with golden light towards the end of the session!
Thank you both for being so patient and walking slow with my extremely pregnant self! I had such a blast learning more about you two and how you interact with each other. Almost 7 years after Hunter first captured your UVa Grad session, it was so cool to see you again in a totally new chapter of life. And we can’t wait to see you both again next year!
With love,
Sarah and Hunter
