One of the many things we love about Spring are the florals! After a long winter, being able to get outside with our couples is wonderful. And when we can take in all of the gorgeous blossoms at the start of a busy season of engagements and weddings, it’s a real treat. As we walked around UVa with Maddy and Sam for their floral engagement session on the Lawn, it was such a joy to catch the earliest blooms of spring with them! Although our favorite of all the blossoms was probably Maddy’s gorgeous floral dress!

We love capturing an engagement session on the Lawn with UVA grads, and hearing all about their time together while students. And as we headed down to Clark Hall, we were reminded of how Maddy and Sam were randomly put together for a group project in a First Year business class. As tricky as it was walking against the giant crowd gathered for the Luke Combs concert, we were so glad we could capture the two of them in front of a place so special to them!

After photographing you, Maddy, as a Bridesmaid in another local wedding not long ago, it was so nice to reconnect, but with you and Sam as the stars of your own show this time! We are also so glad that we were able to connect with you both, despite the massive crowd that gathered in Charlottesville that day. These images will always remind you two of where it all began, and we’re so glad we could be a small part of it! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in October!
