We could see Darrell and Anne Harrison walking up the path towards where we were sitting from a few dozen yards away. As they walked past us, Anne Harrison briefly glanced at us, probably wondering why we were sitting on a bench in the freezing cold. We slowly and subtly grabbed our cameras, trying to not be too obvious. Then Darrell… walked right by us…? Did he miss us? He definitely saw us. Hunter got a text: “Ready when you are.” We saw Darrell and Anne Harrison turn around, and begin to head back towards us. This time, Darrell paused at the predetermined spot, and got down on one knee!

When Darrell reached out about us photographing his surprise proposal to Anne Harrison, he initially thought about proposing sometime on Sunday afternoon. We are so glad he reached out to us when he did so we could recommend moving the proposal to Friday! We could see the nerves slip away as soon as Darrell got down on one knee. We couldn’t imagine waiting all weekend to propose!
