One of our favorite things about capturing engagement sessions with our wedding couples is that we get to spend some time getting to know them better before the wedding day! And after shooting Meg and Thomas’ proposal earlier this year, we were thrilled that we would get a second chance to hang with them ahead of their 2021 wedding! Having pegged Meg and Thomas as wine connoisseurs after photographing their proposal at Veritas Vineyards, a family surprise party at King Family Vineyards, and booking their wedding at Ashton Creek Vineyard, it came as no surprise that they wanted to have their engagement session at another local winery! We were surprised, however, when they told us they hadn’t been there yet. Delfosse winery was a first for all of us, and we’re so glad they put this gorgeous spot on our radar!

As we toured around the property chatting with Meg and Thomas, we got to see how they interact with each other (when Meg isn’t overwhelmed by being newly engaged as of 10 minutes), and learn more about their story. Let me tell you, these two are fun! Meg’s laugh is absolutely contagious and Thomas is the perfect mix of gentle and subtly-hilarious. Despite everything going on in their personal lives, Meg and Thomas were willing to traipse through some brush and Beyoncé-walk up a hill in heels! There’s a determination here that is unparalleled 😂
