Holiday Micro-Wedding at Farmington Country Club

When it comes to our 2020 wedding couples, the last thing anyone wanted were more surprises. However, at Laura and Connor’s wedding there was a pleasant surprise awaiting them during their reception! Laura’s mom had expertly arranged, and kept checking her phone for the arrival. Suddenly we heard Laura say “Hey, that guy looks like Woody…” Since they had decided to downsize their wedding to just six guests, some of Laura and Connor’s dearest friends drove from all over Virginia to see them for just a few minutes outside their reception! They had brought signs and plenty of joy for Laura and Connor on the day of their wintery micro-wedding!

Despite the dumpster fire that has been 2020, Laura and Connor were a picture of serenity on their wedding day. From changing locations, downsizing their guest list, moving the ceremony outside at the last minute, and even grandma’s fur shawl, forgotten at the hotel (which was soon retrieved by their wedding planner and his team — Thanks Adam!) nothing seemed to take their minds off of the most important aspect of their day – each other! Throughout the day Laura and Connor were joking and laughing with each other and their small assembly of family, just enjoying their time together.

You guys have been such a joy to work with! We know that Saturday didn’t look the way you had envisioned when we first met so many months ago, but it was no less special or wonderful. We feel so honored to have been there to capture your wedding, and to hear from your family even more about how you two connect with and love each other! The big celebration will come in time, but December 5th, 2020 will always be a day to remember ❤
