Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
Since the day I was born, Katie has been my big sister. Though we haven’t always seen eye to eye on everything, I’ve never doubted that she’s always had my best interest at heart. The moment that Hunter and I met Clay, we knew he was different from any other guy that Katie had had in her life, and we knew that he would fit perfectly into our wonderful (although sometimes a bit crazy) family. Also, I just need to brag on my sister for a second — Hunter and I’s wedding day literally would not have happened if it weren’t for the way that Katie served us on that day, not to mention all her help with planning in the months leading up to our big day! When Clay proposed to Katie just three days into our honeymoon, it made us all the more excited to serve them on their own wedding day!
Well, that day finally came this past Saturday, and although the day wasn’t without its flaws, Katie and Clay kept their cool flawlessly throughout their entire wedding. When we woke up to pounding rain that didn’t look like it would stop all day, Katie shrugged and said how happy she was that they had chosen a pretty indoor venue. When the rain miraculously halted for 20 minutes – just in time for an abbreviated portrait hour, their ear-to-ear smiles were a perfect expression of their pleasant surprise! However, they were far more focused on each other than they were on the downtown Augusta skyline that was suddenly visible from the penthouse of the Partridge Inn. Between kisses and embraces there were exclamations of “Look at your hair!” and “You look so good in that Tux!” and “I can’t believe how beautiful you look!”
On your wedding day this past Saturday, I was so proud to call you my sister and brother! The way that you two rolled with the inevitable wedding day hiccups and didn’t let anything – even the rain – ruin the joy of your wedding day told us how much you were looking forward to finally being united in marriage. The way that Katie’s stress melted off of her the second she saw you Clay – we know that you are and will continue to be her rock. We know that you’re still off enjoying your tropical honeymoon, but we hope that these few photos are a treasured gift to you as newlyweds! And just like this blog is only a small portion of your full wedding gallery, the wedding day was only the beginning of a much larger, fuller and more wonderful marriage! The best is truly yet to come.
With lots of love,
Sarah + Hunter
