Intimate Fall-Foliage Wedding at Avonlea Farms

When Katelyn first mentioned wanting to read their personal vows in front of their immediate families, we were a little nervous. All of their family would need to arrive a few hours ahead of the ceremony… on time… dressed and ready! But after their private first look as a couple, Katelyn and Michael’s families gathered around them, and the two of them took turns reading their vows to each other, literally surrounded by their families. And it was absolutely beautiful. Afterwards, as they went around and tearfully hugged everyone, we heard Michael’s grandfather say quietly to Katelyn, “welcome to the family.” If we weren’t crying before that, those words made us tear up for sure!

Something that we loved about Katelyn and Michael’s wedding day were the snuggles! They were always hugging each other or hugging those around them. These two were sharing the love (and a little body warmth) with everyone! And that love was given right back! But that didn’t surprise us knowing these two. What DID surprised us was their first dance! We had no idea that they had been practicing a choreographed dance for so long, so when they pulled out a beautifully rehearsed dance it was an absolute joy!

We have absolutely loved getting to know you two these last several months! Being a part of this journey with you guys has been so much fun, and we cannot wait to hear all about your Grand Canyon honeymoon when you get back! We know that we’ll be seeing you two (and Rosie!) again soon ♥
