When Kerry and Austin know what they want, they don’t seem to let anything get in their way! Despite going to college in different states, when these two met during a summer internship, they decided to begin a long-distance relationship (Pennsylvania to South Carolina is REAL long-distance). They may have waited until two weeks before the internship was over to make it official, but they stuck with it through the long drives up and down the East Coast, and watched their love grow despite the distance. Now that they are finally in the same place post-grad, they were SO ready to take the next step!

 

Another way that Austin wouldn’t compromise: despite having surgery only a week before the proposal, Austin insisted on hiking to Blackrock Summit! He knew that he wanted to propose to Kerry somewhere special that had magnificent views, and wouldn’t let a little surgical recovery get in the way of his vision! Not only that, but once they got to the summit, Austin walked out over a rock scramble to get the perfect backdrop. Kerry was probably so confused until he pulled out a ring!
