With all of her bridesmaids and her brother gathered around her, there was a sudden shift in the mood of the room as Laren took down her wedding gown. As soon as she was in the dress, everyone was on the verge of tears. Laren and Dan were married in the Spring of 2020, during the peak of COVID. Their intimate ceremony here in Charlottesville had only a handful of their family members in attendance. Now, with everyone gathered to see Laren in the dress she originally picked out for her wedding day, the consensus was that everyone was SO glad they had gone through the trouble of planning their wedding again!

Even after a year of marriage, there was so much love in Laren and Dan’s eyes! During their first look we could see how excited they were to have the wedding celebration they had planned — to celebrate their marriage and their love with all of their friends and family around them. Last year, they waved to their guests through a laptop screen; this year they could hit the dance floor with them! We know not every couple who was married last year is able to celebrate again this year, but we will always be glad to celebrate with our couples again!

It was such a joy to see you two again! Catching up with you both after a year of marriage isn’t something we get to do very often, and we are so glad we got to see you again before you officially move to Kansas City! After all that you two have been through over the last couple of years, we hope that the coming years are a breeze of love and life together ♥
