Joyful Wintery Surprise Proposal at The Boar’s Head

As I explained the next pose to Emily, I could see Hunter and Sid behind her back, gesturing silently to each other. There was absolutely no way we could say out loud, “Hey Sid, this is it! Are you ready to propose?!” So we played it cool. After all, unbeknownst to Emily, we were all just pretending that this was a Fall mini-session. This definitely wasn’t a secret, wintery surprise proposal at The Boar’s Head. Nope, nothing to be suspicious of! “Our next pose is one where Sid is going to wrap you up from behind. So, what you do is…actually… Emily just go ahead and turn around.” And as she turned, she immediately saw that Sid was waiting proudly on one knee!
After the initial shock and exclamations of, “did you guys know?!” we could start to fill Emily in on all the planning Sid put in to his proposal! After weeks of secret planning by Sid, Emily accidentally saw a photoshoot on his calendar! He emailed us later that day to say that — rather than us “hiding in the bushes” like we usually do, that he told her they would be taking some fall pictures on their trip to Charlottesville. Luckily, she believed him, so the surprise was still on! He was shockingly calm and cool when we met them, and we didn’t even have to hide behind a tree!
