Sarah and I travel pretty light. We were in Italy for an entire week (which included a rehearsal dinner, black-tie wedding and semi-formal wedding brunch) and managed to pack everything into two carry-on bags and one under-the-airplane-seat personal item. No, we aren’t “turn your underwear inside out to get a second day” kinda people, but we’ve learned a few tricks over the years and know how to avoid overpacking. Plus, since we packed light, we were able to pack a full camera bag as our second personal item without worrying about paying the extra fees to check a bag all the way to Europe. As it turns out, it’s a good thing we did.

 

On our third night at Lake Como, my brother Tanner and his girlfriend Jess were gracious enough to spend almost two hours exploring the streets of Como with us. Although you can’t tell by the pictures, it was a really busy night downtown and the streets surrounding the Como Cathedral were packed. We spent a good portion of the session looking for some quintessentially Italian alleyways that weren’t packed with people eating gelato or visiting local shops and markets. And, just like the last time we put Jess and Tanner in front of our cameras, we do want to be clear with the disclaimer that Tanner and Jess are not engaged 🙂

We had such a spectacular time with you two last week in Italy, and our photoshoot in the streets of Como was one of the highlights of the week for us! We always have such a blast with you two, but sincerely appreciate your willingness to get all dressed up and spend an evening exploring and shooting with us. We especially appreciate when you offered to turn things around and even snapped a few photos of us! We know that you’re probably reading this from some beach in Greece or the heart of Rome right now (we’re still jealous that you decided to spend a second week in Europe), but we hope that these photos serve as a great reminder of our incredible week in Como!
