In case you didn’t already know, Sarah and I are running a contest right now where we’re giving away a FREE Engagement Session each month! Back in December, Jaymee and John were the lucky winners! When we finally got together this past weekend, we were SO excited to meet them in person, and experiment with some new ideas. We explored a more lifestyle-esque session, which was the perfect fit for Jaymee and John. Even though these two hail from rival schools (University of Virginia and Virginia Tech — a house divided to be sure), they shared so much in common. For starters, they both love beer from Star Hill Brewing Company, and coffee! So when Jaymee had the idea of a picnic, she thought that just a carafe of black coffee was more “them” than wine and cheese.

 

And that was something we loved about Jaymee and John. They were true to themselves throughout our entire time together! From Jaymee’s hip, boho outfit (felt hat and blanket included), to John bringing along his favorite six-pack (and spilling coffee all over his shirt on the drive down), they were genuinely them for their engagement session. And getting to know couples during this season of engagement, and walking alongside them towards their wedding day – that’s why we do what we do each day! Oh and John, I’ve certainly been there before with the coffee all over my shirt ????

We are SO touched that you’ve been following along for all these years! Jaymee, we’ve both come a long way since I captured your graduation session almost three years ago! For one thing, you’ve met the man of your dreams, and Sarah and I couldn’t be happier for you! We’re confident, even after less than two hours together, that you and John are going to have a fun-filled, exciting marriage, and we feel honored to have been able to capture you two in this exciting season of your lives. Cheers to you two, and these final months of engagement!
