Initially, I was a bit nervous for Ethan and his Pollak Vineyards surprise proposal this past November. There were a LOT of moving parts for him to keep track of! As if asking Remi to marry him wasn’t going to be nerve-wracking enough, he had both of their families hiding nearby, their dog on property, and a curated picnic setup! Oh, and 20 mph winds to contend with 😂

But in the end, all my fears were for nothing. He brought Remi to our pre-arranged spot, and got down on one knee exactly as planned. Remi had been suspicious that the proposal was coming that weekend, but actually seeing Ethan down on one knee was still overwhelming! She brought her hands to her face and laughed and pulled Ethan into a warm embrace. They were engaged!! Just a few moments later, Ethan and Emily were hugging their families, as they all eagerly rushed down to the pond to celebrate the happy couple. And of course, their big doodle Floof got some love and some belly rubs as well! After the hugs (and a few portraits), Remi’s mom had one more surprise for her… an entire curated picnic! Straight out of Pinterest, they snuggled together on blankets and pillows while they sipped on bubbly and dreamed of their marriage to come.
