Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.
Hunter and I were positioned opposite each other inside the sanctuary of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesboro, Virginia. Because of the adverse weather, the first look had been relocated to the intimate archway that lined the sides of the sanctuary. But we doubted that Liz and Mark were thinking about that at the time. Mark was facing Hunter with his head down, patiently awaiting the touch of his soon-to-be-bride. As Liz slowly approached him from behind, obviously a bit nervous herself, Hunter and I held our breath. When Liz finally tapped Mark on his shoulder and he turned around to face her, his hands went to his face as he beheld is fiancée. As Liz and Mark shared their moment together, Hunter and I snapped away, capturing their joy forever.
It rained for 24 hours straight on February 23rd. You heard me – from midnight to midnight the rain did not let up, even for a minute. Despite that, Liz and Mark’s spirits couldn’t be dampened. They ferried between locations with umbrellas galore and when it came time to capture their portraits at Fairfax Hall during the cocktail hour, they didn’t mind one bit standing beneath the hall’s covered porch for their photos, and even venturing out into the rain for a few shots! But that’s Liz and Mark in a nutshell. Ever since their engagement session, we’ve known that they were a go-with-the-flow kind of couple and couldn’t be bothered by things like weather when they had each other to be excited about.
Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! As wedding photographers, one of the best parts of Hunter and I’s job is getting to know so many couples in the Charlottesville area, and you two are certainly no exception! We feel like we’ve gotten to know you two well over the last six months, and know that we’re better for it! Our hope and prayer is that marriage only deepens the love and respect you two clearly have for each other already, and that you continue to surround yourself with such loving and caring friends!
With love,
Sarah + Hunter
