Hi, we're Hunter and Sarah, a husband-and-wife, luxury wedding photography team. We’re also educators, helping other photographers build profitable and sustainable photography businesses.

Katie and Matt’s rainy October wedding at Rock Spring Mountain Farm was full of meaningful moments, mountain views, and plenty of laughter. These two met almost four years ago and bonded over their shared love of cooking and backpacking. Matt proposed during a hike in the Scottish countryside, just as the clouds parted to reveal a beautiful view. Their wedding day brought a different kind of weather-related adventure. Rain fell throughout the day, but neither of them let it dampen their excitement. Katie got ready with her closest friends in the bridal suite, while Matt spent the morning with his daughter, Madeline, and their big, fluffy dog. For their first look, they met beneath the covered patio, which would later become the ceremony and cocktail hour space. Then we explored the property, taking in the gardens and mountain views under umbrellas and through the mist. They had dreamed of this scenery for more than a year, and a little rain wasn’t going to keep them away!
Soon after, we captured portraits with their friends and family during a brief break in the rain. But the most memorable moment came during the ceremony, when Matt seemed to have forgotten his vows. He patted his pants pockets and checked his jacket, looking genuinely stumped. Then his face lit up, and he turned toward Madeline in the front row. She proudly held out a fuzzy pink-and-blue notebook shaped like a cat! Matt had written his vows in it well in advance, planning the whole reveal to make Katie and their guests laugh. It was a hilarious, heartfelt glimpse into the playful marriage and blended family they were creating together. The celebration continued with emotional toasts, some choreographed dancing, signature cocktails, cigars, pistachio lattes, and a whole spread of desserts. It was a wonderfully indulgent evening, full of personality and warmth. Finally, the rain gave everyone a break long enough for a sparkler send-off beneath the October night sky!
Your rainy October wedding at Rock Spring Mountain Farm was such a beautiful reflection of your relationship. We loved how you embraced the weather and made the most of every moment together. From wandering the misty gardens to Matt’s unforgettable cat-notebook vows, your day was full of laughter and love. Madeline’s presence at various moments throughout the day made everything even more special. It was a sweet reminder that your wedding celebrated not just your marriage, but the family you are building together. Thank you for trusting us to capture such a meaningful, joyful beginning!
With love,
Sarah and Hunter
