And when it comes to rain on your wedding day, the only thing you can control is whether or not you still have a great time, despite the weather. For Sadie and Mike, there were times where we completely forgot it was even raining! With the most gorgeous location for the day, their rainy Farmington wedding was exactly what dreams are made of. Even when it started raining again after we snuck outside (for maybe two minutes) to try and capture some portraits in the garden, nothing could dampen their moods! They were just SO excited to get what they could outside, and spend the rest of their time with their loved ones.
Some things are just out of our control.
Of every special moment that occurred on their rainy Farmington wedding day, the one that stood out most to us was when Mike read a poem he wrote aloud to Sadie after their first look. This wasn’t on the timeline or made into a big deal at any point. Mike just asked if that would be a good time to read the poem he wrote. So with the initial joy of seeing each other still fresh, Mike pulled out his phone and surprised the entire vendor team by reading the most heartfelt and sincere poem to his bride. This small gesture gave us a glimpse into the deep love these two have for each other, and was a beautiful reminder of how couples can continue to surprise each other with simple and sincere acts of love.
